Sacred space is not built by adding ornament. It is built by understanding what light does to silence, and how proportion can make a person feel both small and held at once. That has been the working premise behind every church and worship space John R. Mastera + Associates has designed across Connecticut and New England since 1987.  Watch the firm's most recent sacred commission, Our Lady of Aparecida Parish Church in Bethel, Connecticut by clicking here.
